We were just informed that the yard waste pick up schedule for today July 14th has been delayed once again to this Saturday. The reason cited in the letter refers to employees calling out due to heat exhaustion.

Yard waste pickup delay July 7th
Patriot Disposal is having truck issues, as a result, yard waste pickup for today, July 7th, is delayed until Saturday. Please leave yard waste items where they are in case they can pick up sooner.
Community Yard Sale
The annual Woodstream community yard sale is held the first Saturday of June. This year the sale will be held on June 5th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Residents are encourage to set up along Magic Leaf Road for the most exposure.
New Yard Waste Disposal Guidelines – No Plastic Bags
Please be advised that Fairfax County has issued a Solid Waste Advisory to eliminate the use of plastic bags for yard waste collection in the County.
Effective immediately, Patriot Disposal will no longer collect yard waste that has been set out for collection in plastic bags. It is mandatory that all yard waste be set out for collection in paper bags, or in a separate container clearly marked “yard waste” on both sides.
