The annual Woodstream community yard sale is held the first Saturday of June. This year the sale will be held on June 6th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Woodstream residents are welcome to set up along Magic Leaf Road, or to hold sales at their homes on that day. The Woodstream HOA Board of Directors will place ads for the community yard sale in local newspapers and on Craig’s List.

Community Cleanup Saturday May 17th; Dumpster Available All Weekend
Community Cleanup Day – May 17th:  Join your neighbors as we pick up litter and debris to help beautify our community on Saturday, May 17th.  Meet at the playground at 9:00 a.m., or come by anytime between 9:00 and Noon to help out.  If you can attend, please wear solid shoes and gloves, and, if you can, bring a flat shovel, a rake, or a wheelbarrow.  Refreshments will be served!
Dumpster Available for Residents’ Use:  From Friday, May 16th thru Monday, May 19th, a dumpster will be placed in the Magic Leaf Road cul-de-sac for residents’ use.  Please take this opportunity to dispose of yard waste and brush, as well as household junk – including any junk or debris behind your fence or in the woods behind your home.  Please do NOT place furniture, appliances, electronics, paint, or chemical products in the dumpster.
Annual Community Meeting
The WHOA Annual Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th,
from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm in the cafeteria of the Newington Forest Elementary
School located at 8001 Newington Forest Avenue, Springfield, VA.
Woodstream Fourth of July Parade
What: Woodstream Neighborhood Parade for kids. Wear red, white & blue. Decorate your strollers, scooters, & bikes.
When:Â Thursday July 4th 9:30am starts at the playground
Route:Â Down Magic Leaf Road, left on Pohick Road, U-turn at Forest View and back to the playground for popsicles and prizes awarded for: Best Stroller, Best Scooter, & Best Bike

If you CAN attend:
Thank you! Many hands make light work so bring your friends and family.
Also, please wear solid shoes and bring any necessary supplies that you may
have. Supplies include, but are not limited to the following: heavy-duty
gloves, trash bags, rakes, buckets, wheelbarrows, shovels & hand wipes.
If you CANNOT attend:
Please utilize the dumpster that will be in our community from June 7th – 11th.
Be sure to check the woods behind your home for any trash/debris and place it in the dumpster or on the curb. Volunteers will be picking up trash on the curbs and putting it in the dumpster on the morning of June 8th.
