Operation Medicine Cabinet Cleanout, May 27 – June 1
During this campaign, you may drop off unused or expired medications at any Fairfax County police station (pills and liquids only, no pressurized canisters or needles). Disposal is free and confidential. Cleaning out your medicine cabinet will help prevent accidental poisoning and drug abuse, and will protect the environment through proper disposal. The closest police stations to Woodstream are the West Springfield Station at 6140 Rolling Road (just north of Old Keane Road) and the Franconia Station at 6121 Franconia Road.

Car Seat Checks Available
The Fairfax County Police are offering free inspections to insure that your child’s car seat is correctly installed. These checks are offered by appointment from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, Thursday June 13, and Thursday, June 20 at the West Springfield District Police Station, 6140 Rolling Road. Please call 703-644-7377 to schedule an appointment.

Community Yard Sale Set for Saturday, June 1st

The annual Woodstream community yard sale will be held on Saturday, June 1st, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Woodstream residents are welcome to set up along Magic Leaf Road, or to hold sales at their homes on that day. The Woodstream HOA Board of Directors will place ads for the community yard sale in local newspapers and on Craig’s List. A sign announcing the sale also will be placed at our community’s entrance.

Spring Home Inspections Completed; Letters Sent to Homeowners

The Woodstream HOA Board of Directors conducted our community’s annual architectural and property inspection in mid-April, and some homeowners will receive letters outlining what maintenance is required to bring the exterior of their home or landscaping into compliance with the HOA’s architectural guidelines. If you do not receive a letter from the Board of Directors, your home is considered to be in compliance. Spring Home Inspections Planned

The Woodstream HOA Board of Directors will conduct our community’s annual architectural and property inspections in mid-April. These inspections ensure that each home’s exterior and landscaping are in compliance with the HOA’s covenants and architectural guidelines. After completion of the inspections, homeowners may receive a letter from the Board in early May outlining what maintenance is required to bring the exterior of their home or landscaping into compliance. The goal of these inspections is to maintain the appearance, integrity and property values of our community.

Curb Side Leaf Pickup

The grounds maintenance contractor will be conducting curb side leaf removal from the community the week of Dec 9th.  Please rake loose leaves to the curb. Bagged leaves will not be collect by the contractor. Bagged leaves are collected on recycling day via the trash service.
