If you plan to sell your home, Virginia law requires you to provide several HOA-
related documents to your home’s prospective buyers once a purchase offer
has been made and accepted. You must provide the prospective buyers with
a current copy of the HOA Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (rules and
regulations), and with documentation showing that your quarterly HOA dues are
paid up-to-date and that your home is in compliance with the HOA’s guidelines.
